This trip gives you a different view of Cape Town from the water. There's a good chance of viewing marine life such as penguins, dolphins and whales (in season). In summer, the water is warm enough to swim.

You can park or get dropped off in the public car park next to the beach - look out for our bright yellow kayaks, either on the beach or on our trailer in the car park.

What to expect

Your guide will meet you and equip you with PFDs (personal flotation devices), He or she will also chat to you about your experience and fitness levels and will give you a safety briefing and some paddling instruction. From there, you'll head out through the small waves and into the bay. Depending on the weather and ocean conditions, your route may include the Simon's Town Naval harbour wall, Boulders Beach and its famous penguins and a stop at Windmill Beach. You'll do a loop, finishing back at Seaforth about 2 - 2.5 hours later.
