You will be driven first from the airport through the city. As you drive through the city, you begin to feel the ambiance of the city and get a sense of the ways of the people of Calabar. A few kilometers out of Calabar town is Akampa where the national park is situated. Get thrilled by the beauty of nature as you approach the park with the sight of different species of flora leading into the park. There is no network signal in the park which makes it an ideal getaway for you to commune with nature. You are driven past the road that leads to the Tinapa resort as you head southwards to the Cross River National Park
An early morning call into the wild on a safari to explore the activities of animals in the wild and also discover the unique features of the park. After the wildlife Safari, get rested for a while and explore the town of Akampa - a town in the setting of the book “Ralia the sugar girl”. Upon return into the park, you are prepped up for a Games night in the moonlight. Thrilling and adventure games.
Explore the city of Calabar by visiting the museum of slave history. The museum was established in 2007 and commissioned on 17 March 2011. It is a rich resource on the activities of slave trade in the 15th century.
Enjoy an adventure to the Kwa falls located in the Oban division of the Cross River National Park. A deep plunge pool forms at the bottom of the waterfall which is characterized by well arranged stairs of 234 steps from top to bottom. The nearby Kwa River sand beach is sure an icing on the cake, making Kwa falls, Nigeria’s own tropical paradise.
