The Bombay Hills are a range of hills to the south of Auckland, New Zealand. Though only a small and seemingly insignificant range of hills, they lie at the southern boundary of the Auckland region, and serve as a divide between Auckland and the Waikato region. directly named after the ship Bombay, The ship itself was named after the Indian city of Bombay (now Mumbai). Bombay Means: a breed of black short-haired medium-sized cat.

Embrace a rare opportunity to see Cathedral Cove, a breathtaking natural rock formation made famous by appearing in The Chronicles of Narnia, Prince Caspian movie! From the north end of the beach, a walking track leads along the cliff top and then descends to the Cove. Here a gigantic arched cavern passes through a white rock headland to join two secluded coves. Enjoy Cathedral Cove to explore, photograph, swim and simply enjoy this special place. Walk beneath the sweeping cove giving you an opportunity to take that perfect photo!
Deep within the earth a natural spring runs beneath Hot Water Beach, bubbling up to emerge through the sand in the form of naturally heated mineral water. At the southern end of the beach, it’s possible to dig your own hot pool in the sand. Relaxing in your own spa pool meters from the Pacific Ocean is a very unique feeling!
After an exhilarating fun-filled adventure experience at Coromandel, it is now time to head back to Auckland to conclude your evening and drop-off at your hotel in Auckland.
