    You’ll drive to the fishing village of Kompong Pluk near Siem Reap and board a private boat. Visit Kompong Pluk village with its houses standing on stilts and board a pirogue to discover the seasonally flooded forest. Visit the floating village and discover the centuries-old lifestyle of the inhabitants of the lake.

    After lunch, you’ll explore Wat Bo Krum village, located near the river. Meander around this exotic hamlet, enjoy the peaceful scenery, chat with the villagers and laugh with the children at their school.

    The Wat Athvea complex comprises a modern pagoda Wat Athvea built next to an ancient temple from the Angkorian period Prasat Wat Athvea. The Pagoda of Wat Athvea is a contemporary Buddhist temple, located next to the eponymous Angkorian temple. It is a place of worship which is home to a dozen orange-clad Buddhist monks. The monks, from teenage to venerable old men, provides religious services and blessings, as well as counselling, and help the poorest members of the nearby communities, then we meet the resident monks and participate in a private good luck blessing ceremony and wishing you good health and a safe journey, performed by local monks. Sit on the mat while the monks chant blessings and sprinkle holy water on you – a traditional way which is believed pass on the good luck of the gods. Afterwards, a sacred thread will be tied around your wrist. This will protect you from any evil spirits or accidents – a memorable experience.
