Our Bizarre Food Challenge takes you to hole in the wall restaurants famous among local diners for rare but delicious delicacies. Though the majority of Thai people are disturbed by these dishes, they are actually really delicious and are favorites of many people. Ranging from smelly fermented fish, frog, to pig brains, these food are definitely an acquired taste. Another fun thing you will experience is the different forms of transportation: a river ferry, a Tuk Tuk, and a train. We promise our Bizarre Food Challenge will be a weirdly yummy experience you will never forget!

    Walk to Wang Lang Boat Noodle Shop, located near Wat Rakhang. Enter a small alley that leads to Siriraj Hospital. The shop will be on your left. The highlight is the intensely flavorful soup, offering both pork and beef noodles at a great price.

    Continue to Somtum Yapun Restaurant, a legendary Isan (Northeastern Thai) restaurant. The menu is diverse. Their must-try dishes are crispy corn and the restaurant’s signature: red ant eggs, which can be added to any dish.

    Visit Thai Pork Brain Soup Restaurant, a vintage-style eatery in the Phraeng Phuthon area, open since 1957. Their unique dish “pork brain soup” is very rare to find these days. The restaurant has a cozy, retro atmosphere.
