Your experience begins at Altos de Chipude winery, where you’ll discover the story of the estate, its high-altitude vineyards, and the native Forastera Gomera grape. Visit the winery and production area to learn how traditional winemaking and modern techniques come together in this unique volcanic landscape. Discover the challenges of growing vines on steep slopes more than 1,000 metres above sea level, the influence of La Gomera’s Atlantic climate, and the fascinating story of Rajadero Enterrado, a limited wine aged underground using an old local practice. After the visit, relax and enjoy a tasting of two Altos de Chipude wines, including the winery’s flagship Rajadero, paired with traditional Canarian Queso Blanco and Almogrote.
