Along the way, pass Berber villages, the dramatic Todra Gorges, Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud—gateway to the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet. Upon arrival in Merzouga, relax at a hotel before preparing for your desert adventure. Pack a small bag with overnight essentials and leave the rest at the hotel. Then, ride camels across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, stopping to enjoy and photograph the magical desert sunset. On arrival at the desert camp, climb the highest dune for sandboarding and panoramic views. Spend the night in a traditional Berber camp under the stars, with dinner and live drumming around the fire—an unforgettable Sahara experience.
