- A dress code is required to enter the selected places of worship and museums. Shorts and sleeveless tops are not permitted. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may be refused entry if you do not comply with these dress requirements.

The Vatican Museums may decide to close the Sistine Chapel on short notice for official events or religious proceedings.
