Travel by shared vehicle from Kathmandu to Machha Khola, a journey of about 8-9 hours. Enjoy scenic views of the countryside and terraced fields along the way. Arrive in Machha Khola and check into a local guesthouse, situated by the Budhi Gandaki River in this charming village.
Continue your trek from Machha Khola to Jagat, a journey of approximately 6-7 hours. The route ascends and descends through beautiful forests, terraced fields, and charming villages. Jagat is a small village with local lodges, where you’ll rest and acclimatize for the next leg of your journey.
Trek from Jagat to Deng, a 6-7 hour journey. The trail climbs through a lush forest and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. As you approach Deng, you’ll notice the change in the landscape and culture, with Tibetan influences becoming more prominent. Spend the night in a local lodge.
Proceed from Deng to Namrung, which takes about 6-7 hours. This segment of the trek features breathtaking mountain views and passes through traditional Tibetan-style villages. Namrung offers a glimpse into the unique culture of the region, with its Buddhist monasteries and prayer flags.
Explore 5-6 hour trek from Namrung to Samagaun. The trail offers panoramic views of the Himalayas, including the impressive peaks of Manaslu and Ganesh Himal. Lho is a picturesque village with a vibrant local culture, where you’ll stay in a traditional guesthouse.
ake a rest day in Samagaon to acclimatize and explore the surroundings. You can visit the nearby Manaslu Base Camp or explore the village and its monasteries. This day helps your body adjust to the altitude and prepares you for the higher altitudes ahead.
Trek from Samagaon to Samdo, a journey of about 5-6 hours. The trail gradually ascends through alpine meadows and offers spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. Samdo is a small village where you can experience the high-altitude Tibetan culture and prepare for the crossing of the Larkya La Pass.
Proceed from Samdo to Dharamshala, which takes approximately 4-5 hours. The trek involves ascending to the base of the Larkya La Pass, with stunning views of the snow-capped peaks. Larkya Phedi is a base camp where you’ll rest and prepare for the challenging pass crossing the next day.
Cross the Larkya La Pass (5,160 meters) on a challenging 8-10 hour trek. The pass offers breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks and glaciers. Descend to Bimthang, a picturesque village with stunning views of Manaslu and Annapurna. Spend the night in a local lodge, celebrating the successful crossing of the pass.
Trek from Bimthang to Tilije, which takes about 5-6 hours. The trail descends through lush forests and traditional villages, providing a pleasant end to the trek. Tilije is a charming village with a rich local culture, where you’ll spend the night in a comfortable guesthouse.
The trek continues from Tilije to Dharapani, where you will then drive to Besisahar. From Besisahar, you will travel back to Kathmandu. Along the way, enjoy the picturesque views of alpine forests and the serene landscape.
