After meeting your tour conductor, you’ll board a comfortable bus and head to Nagaoka, a city renowned for hosting one of Japan’s largest and most spectacular fireworks festivals. The Nagaoka Fireworks Festival is a beloved summer tradition, attracting visitors from across the country to witness a breathtaking display of over 10,000 fireworks choreographed with music and meaning. You’ll arrive at the site around 16:30 and walk approximately 30 to 40 minutes from the parking area to your designated viewing area. The tour includes box seating (marked off sections of ground with a blue tarp), which provides an immersive experience with an up-close view of the colorful spectacle above. While waiting for the fireworks to begin around 19:20, you can soak in the festive atmosphere as the crowd gathers in anticipation. Be sure to bring sun protection like a hat or sun umbrella, as there are no shaded areas.

A towel and water bottle are also helpful to stay cool while you wait, and a flashlight will come in handy for navigating dimly lit areas near the restrooms or parking. Since seating is directly on the ground, a cushion or towel will make your experience more comfortable. Please note that folding chairs and tripods are not allowed. In case of unexpected weather, the show will proceed in the rain, but you’ll need a raincoat or poncho as umbrellas are prohibited. In case of rain, the event will generally go ahead as planned, but if the cancellation decision is made before the tour departs, you will be notified by mail and then by phone and the tour will be canceled with a full refund. If the decision is made on the day of the event after departure, you will receive a refund for the seating portion, and we will either arrange an alternative sightseeing location or proceed directly to the hotel. After the fireworks, you will arrive to the hotel after midnight.

On the second day, after breakfast you'll travel for about 2 hours to the picturesque countryside of Tsunan or Tokamachi, where you'll enjoy a traditional lunch featuring Funori Soba—a regional specialty made with funori seaweed, which gives the soba noodles a smooth, elastic texture. This refreshing noodle dish is a beloved local favorite, especially in the hot summer months. To accompany your meal, you'll receive a small tasting of Kubota Manju, one of Niigata’s finest premium sake brands. Served in an ochoko (a small sake cup), this refined sake offers a deep, mellow flavor and is a proud representative of the region’s celebrated brewing tradition.

Next, you’ll visit the vibrant sunflower fields of Tsunan, where an entire hillside transforms into a sea of yellow during peak bloom season—from late July to mid-August. Surrounded by mountains and rural charm, this stunning natural landscape is a perfect photo spot and offers a peaceful contrast to the excitement of the fireworks the night before. Wander through rows of cheerful sunflowers, enjoy the fresh mountain air, and take in the summer scenery unique to Japan’s countryside. Your final sightseeing stop is Kiyotsu Gorge, one of Japan’s most dramatic natural landscapes. You'll explore the gorge via the Kiyotsu Gorge Tunnel, a 750-meter passage carved into the cliffside, offering panoramic views of the emerald green river and towering rock walls. The tunnel features several artistic observation points, including the breathtaking "Light Cave," where mirrored walls reflect the landscape and create an illusion of infinite space. This blend of art and nature has made the tunnel a favorite for photographers and travelers seeking something truly unique. The gorge is especially beautiful in summer, when the lush greenery contrasts vividly with the rocky cliffs and flowing water, creating a refreshing and awe-inspiring scene. - The accommodation will be at the business hotel. Mainly it has single rooms. Depending on the availability of the rooms in the hotel, a twin room or all single rooms might be provided. Any room requests cannot be accepted
- Please note that the peak bloom period may vary depending on weather conditions. While the departure dates are set based on typical bloom times, there is a possibility that the flowers may not be in full bloom on the day of departure. We kindly ask for your understanding in advance. If you decide to cancel your tour due to the blooming status, please be aware that the standard cancellation fee will still apply. - In order to ensure the required rest time for the bus driver, you may need to wait in the hotel lobby or another area until the departure time after check-out

- Due to requests from national or local governments, festivals may be canceled or the content may be changed
- Regarding Cancellations Due to Natural Disasters: As a general rule, the event will be held even in rain; however, in the event that the fireworks festival is canceled or postponed due to unavoidable circumstances, we will cancel the tour if the cancellation is decided before the tour departs, and a full refund will be issued. In such cases, our company will contact the representative by mail and then by phone to notify them of the cancellation (if you do not receive a cancellation notice, please assume that the tour will proceed as planned). Additionally, the decision to cancel may be made on the day of the event, and in such cases, the cancellation notice may be provided on the morning of the tour day. If the fireworks festival is canceled or postponed after the tour has departed, a refund for the equivalent of the viewing seat will be issued, and we will either guide you to an alternative sightseeing location or send you directly to the hotel
