After meeting your tour conductor, you will board the bus and begin a relaxing journey toward Fuefuki in Yamanashi Prefecture. Please note that lunch may be scheduled earlier than usual, sometimes around 11:00, so it is a good idea to start the day with a light breakfast. Here, you will enjoy a satisfying set lunch with a choice of kama-meshi, either clam rice or chicken and mixed vegetables cooked in a small pot. Your meal also includes a warming seafood udon hot pot noodles with crab and scallops. Please specify which lunch you would like in the Special Requirements section when making your booking. If we do not receive your selection, the default lunch will be Clam kama-meshi. After lunch, you will step into a greenhouse for an all‑you‑can‑eat strawberry picking experience for 40 min. Because the strawberries are grown using elevated cultivation methods, it is easy to pick fruit without bending down, making the experience comfortable and accessible.

After approx. 50 min on the road, you will arrive at Fuji Motosuko Resort, set on a wide open plain beneath Mt. Fuji. Here you will visit the Fuji Shibazakura Festival, where moss phlox spreads across the landscape in a vivid carpet of pink and purple tones. The typical best season for shibazakura is from mid‑April to mid‑May, but blooming can shift earlier or later depending on temperature and weather. This is one of Japan’s most iconic spring scenes because the shibazakura is planted in an expansive area at the foot of Mt. Fuji. On clear days, the contrast between the pink blossoms and the snow‑touched peak is breathtaking. At the same time, it is important to set expectations: Mt. Fuji is not guaranteed, and visibility depends on weather conditions. Whether Fuji appears or not, the festival atmosphere and the sheer scale of flowers create an unforgettable experience.

    Oshino Hakkai

※Please note that for departures on May 3, May 5, and May 6, the itinerary does not include a stop at Oshino Hakkai! After about 60 min of travel, you will arrive at Oshino Hakkai, a small village area famous for its clear, spring‑fed ponds. The water here is exceptionally transparent, fed by natural springs filtered through volcanic layers over time. The ponds shimmer with shifting shades of blue and green, and on a calm day you can see rippling reflections and aquatic plants beneath the surface. Oshino Hakkai feels like a quiet window into traditional rural Japan, with walkways, small bridges, and scenic viewpoints that frame the ponds and the surrounding landscape. Your planned arrival time is around 18:20, although traffic and road conditions can affect timing, especially during busy Golden Week travel periods.
