This full-day journey begins with hands-on rice farming at the Kuang Si Heritage Rice Farm. The experience offers participants the chance to select seed, help sow or transplant seedlings, learn an indigenous salt-trick for choosing healthy grains, plough a paddy behind a water buffalo, and practise transplanting or harvesting under the guidance of local farmers—real work that connects travellers to place and practice.

4Kuang Si Falls
After lunch, climb aboard a farm tractor for a slow and scenic ride along ancient irrigation canals fed by the Kuang Si Falls. Along the way, you’ll pass rice fields, encounter water buffalo, and witness daily life as local farmers tend their crops. Continue on foot, following the canals uphill toward the falls. Along this peaceful trek, discover the Muang Fai irrigation system, a centuries-old cooperative water-sharing practice that sustains villages and fields in the region.

5Kuang Si Falls
Arrive at the top of Kuang Si Falls and enjoy around 2 hours of free time. Swim in crystal-clear turquoise pools, wander forest trails, or simply relax by the cascading limestone tiers—one of Laos’ most iconic natural wonders.

6Luang Prabang
