Stop at the Lookout for a breathtaking panorama of Speyside Bay's shifting turquoise seas and spray-covered islets. Speyside is surrounded by the mountains of Tobago's Main Ridge. The surrounding terrain is very hilly and some roads are very steep. The majority of the town is situated on Tyrrel's Bay. Goat Island and Little Tobago island are located just offshore. The surrounding waters have some of the best coral reefs on the island of Tobago and the sea between the islands is shallow, which allows for glass bottom boats to make trips to the islands.
Have lunch at Jemma’s Treehouse, a restaurant in a tree facing seaviews. Lovely views, soothing sea breeze and delicious local dishes. The food, from fresh tropical juices to spiny lobster, curried goat and breadfruit pie, is both authentic and delicious.
Off the road between Charlotteville and Speyside, Flagstaff Hill offers amazing panoramic views. You get great views of Man O War Bay, down part of the Carib coast, and offshore to the northern edge of Tobago.
