[What are the Tsuzura Terraced Rice Fields?]
Terraced rice fields are paddies created on steep slopes such as mountainsides and are laid out in a staircase fashion. They were built around 400 years ago on walls piled up with stones from the mountains.
We could meet at BABA Campground.
Nestled between the mountain slopes, the Tsuzura Rice Terraces cover an area of 7 hectares and are made from 300 slabs of stone. Also, stop at Ya-Ho Plaza, an observation deck where you can look out over the beautiful terraced fields. If you shout "Ya-ho!", you will hear an echo.
