Below you will find suggestions for possible places to visit; please note that only A SELECTION of them can be integrated into your daily program - we will be happy to advise you! The actual time required for each stop may differ from those listed below. Enjoy the unique mountain world of this former Olympic resort which includes the highest peak in Germany, the impressive walkable canyon "Partnachklamm", which can be reached from the ski stadium with the famous ski jumps, as well as sophisticated pedestrian zones, which invite you to a leisurely stroll. There is something for everyone at Garmisch-Partenkirchen, let this unique spot work its charm on you.

Built during the Nazi dictatorship for the 1936 Winter Olympics and remodeled for the planned Winter Olympics in 1940, which failed due to World War II. For this purpose, the two communities Garmisch and Partenkirchen were forcibly merged. Learn from your tour guide Stefan more about the darkest years 1933 - 1945, but also about the current use of the stadium and the ski jumps.

Please note that the Partnach Gorge can be temporarily closed due to maintenance work. The Partnachklamm is a fascinating 700 meters (1/2 mile) long and up to 80 meters (260 feet) deep gorge, through which the meltwater of the Zugspitze Glacier rages. It is safe to walk on all year round and is an ideal destination for any weather! Admission adults: € 10.00 Children (6 - 17 years): € 5.00 From the car park to the entrance of the gorge you need 25 minutes on foot or in season by horse-drawn carriage (about € 20.00 for 4 people each way)

3Zugspitze

4Schloss Neuschwanstein
After another 50 minutes drive through Tyrolean territory along the breathtaking Plansee we reach the world-famous fairytale castle, Schloss Neuschwanstein. Let yourself be enchanted by the dream world of the equally creative and unhappy King Ludwig II and visit all completed rooms in a compact and compelling 35-minute tour. 5Schloss Hohenschwangau
Just as worth seeing is Hohenschwangau castle, the neo-gothic summer residence of Ludwig II's father, King Maximilian II. with Ludwig's spectacular children's room. 6Schloss Linderhof
Linderhof Castle is located in the seclusion of a charming Alpine valley. It is the smallest but most luxuriously adorned of the three fairytale castles of the Bavarian King Ludwig II. Are you ready for a spectacular but 100% safe adrenaline-kick? A chairlift takes you in the picturesque alpine mountain scenery to a cozy mountain restaurant and to the start of the adventurous ALPINE COASTER at 1,270 m (4.170 ft) altitude: With the 1st world's longest weatherproof toboggan run with magnetic brakes, you can reach the valley at a length of 2,600 meters (1,6 miles) with breathtaking views and adventurous curves. You set the pace! (A safety mechanism intervenes reliably at too high speeds automatically. Due to the magnetic brakes, operation is also possible in the rain, but not in thunderstorms.)
