A desert trek in Morocco to discover the wonderful region of Erg Zahar and Sidi Naji. A 7-days desert trekking in Morocco on foot. Transfer from Marrakech to M’hamid in the morning, you cross the Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka, then along the Djebel Tiffernine before entering the Saghro massif that you cross through the Tizi n’Tinififft pass. Here is now the magnificent Drâa valley, its ksours and kasbahs, that you follow until M’hamid, meeting with the team of camel herders. Dinner and night in the desert.

    After breakfast. Start trekking towards Sidi Naji. The desert extends its arms: ergs and regs follow each other amidst the tamaris. The Kraab range is visible. Setting up the bivouac for the night amidst the dunes.

    The caravan continues its journey through the sand desert to the great dunes of Erg Zahar. Where you can enjoy climbing the great dune (For the brave!). Bivouac at the foot of the dunes.

    In the desert of dunes dotted with a few tamaris and the Draa River, you progress to Creatjmal, where you bivouac.

    Enjoy the landscape offered by Oued Naam all morning, before stopping to have lunch under the tall tamaris. In the afternoon, continue through the small dunes. Bivouac in the middle of the Bertam dunes.
