This Castle, built in the 14th century to house the troops and protect the Alcazaba, is today one of the most visited moments in Malaga where you can walk through its walls with impressive views of Malaga, or enter its Interpretation Center to discover his story. It receives its name from a lighthouse on its top (Jabal-Faruk, mount of the lighthouse). Although it was used by Phoenicians and Romans, it would be the Nasrid king Yusuf I in 1340 who would make this settlement a fortress. In the reconquest it suffered the siege of the Catholic Monarchs during the summer of 1487 and Fernando del Católico made it his temporary residence after the victory. In addition, he designated the castle as an element of the city's coat of arms.

- The tours take place in rain or heat, and can only be canceled under extreme conditions.
- The tours are designed to follow the indicated route and make a series of pre-established stops, depending on the duration of the selected tour, to take photos. On the 60-minute tour, a stop is made at the Mirador de Giblarfaro, and on the 120-minute tour, a stop is also made at Baños del Carmen.
