Start your guided tour of Fes at the historic gates of Bab Bou Jeloud. Enter the medina of Fes el-Bali and discover the Islamic schools of the Madrasa Bou Inania and Al-Attarine Madrasa.
Go to the University of al-Qarawiyyin and visit the Nejjarine Museum of Wooden Arts and Crafts. Look at its collection of traditional tools, furniture, carpets and musical instruments in a beautifully restored caravanserai.
Following lunch in the medina, learn how leather is processed just as it was centuries ago at one of the tanneries. Get a look at the Royal Palace, and then drive to the Bab Ftouh cemetery for a panoramic view over the medina.

El centro histórico de Fez y la sede del gobierno marroquí hasta 1912, Fez Medina (Fez el-Bali) sigue siendo el mayor atractivo de la ciudad: un distrito extenso de zocos y callejones llenos de grandes mezquitas, palacios y madrassas. Bab (que significa 'puerta' en inglés) Boujloud fue construido por los franceses durante su ocupación de Marruecos en 1913. Sirve como puerta de entrada al corazón de las bulliciosas calles de la medina de Fez. Justo al lado se encuentra la puerta original del siglo XII, construida con una entrada indirecta en una inclinación para bloquear la entrada de arietes.
