9am Pickup from from New Delhi airport, train station, hotel or other point in the city, proceed on a half-day tour of the Delhi city. Visit the 11th century Qutab Minar Tower, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty, who took possession of Delhi in 1206.
The India Gate, a memorial raised in honor of pays tribute to around 90,000 Indian army soldiers who died in WWI, the Northwest Frontier operations and the 1919 Anglo-Afghan War.
Parliament House also known as the Sansad Bhavan consists of the the two houses/assemblies of India, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha and drive past the grand government buildings, including the President’s House and Parliament House all dating back to the time of the British Raj.

Pickup at 6am early morning at sunrise we leave to explore the monumental heritage of the Great Mughals, visit the magnificent Taj Mahal (Closed on Fridays), a UNESCO World Heritage Site one of the Seven Wonders of the World and surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created. 20,000 men labored for over 17 years to build this memorial to Shah Jahan's beloved wife. It's a wealth of white marble and semi-precious stone – « undoubtedly the highlight of the tour ».
After breakfast, we enjoy tour of the imposing Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this powerful fortress of red sandstone encompasses, within its 2.5-km-long enclosure walls, the imperial city of the Mughal rulers. It comprises many fairy-tale palaces, such as the Jahangir Palace and the Khas Mahal, built by Shah Jahan; audience halls, such as the Diwan-i-Khas; and two very beautiful mosques.
After the city tour 4-Hrs drive to the old walled city of Jaipur, founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II, this pink city is meticulously constructed on the lines of the Shilpa Shastra, an ancient Hindu treatise on architecture. The palaces and forts of yesteryear, which were witnesses to the royal processions and splendors, are now living monuments.
Enroute, stop to visit Fatehpur Sikri, which has been described as “the world’s most perfectly preserved ghost town”. Built by Akbar in the late 16th century, it was abandoned after only 14 years and the elegant buildings of this superb walled city remain intact to this day.
After breakfast at 8am, check-out of your hotel and proceed to the imposing Amber Fort. This used to be the capital of the Kachhwaha clan until Jaipur was made the official capital in 1727. See Hawa Mahal, built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, which is the most stunning sight in the city of Jaipur.
Continue the tour by making a photo stop at Jal Mahal around 11am. This Rajput style "Water Palace" sits in the center of the Man Sarobar lake. The lake is often dry during the summer, but the winter monsoons frequently turn it into a beautiful lake filled with water hyacinths.
Next, you will visit the Hawa Mahal, another Rajput landmark also known as the Palace of the Winds, for more photo opportunities. The five story Hawa Mahal was built in 1799A.D. along the main street of the old city. It is a pink sandstone masterpiece with semi-octagonal and delicately honeycombed windows.
After lunch, proceed to visit City Palace, the principle residence of the ruling family and is known for its stunning architecture. Part of it now converted into a magnificent museum. Jantar Mantar, a stone observatory raised in the 18th century.
If time permits, visit a cottage industry specializing in hand-woven carpets and textiles. Witness how silk carpets are handmade. Transfer to New Delhi in the evening.
After the sightseeing transfer to Delhi around 4 hrs drive. On arrival, you'll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport.
