Mother Teresa founded the Missionaries of Charity in India in 1950. The charity home in Agra has orphaned children or those with families that can no longer provide for them along with 150 adults who can no longer care for themselves. At the time of her death, Mother Teresa's charity was operating 610 missions in 123 countries, including hospices and homes for people with HIV/AIDS, leprosy and tuberculosis; soup kitchens; child and family counseling programs; orphanages and schools.

You will be picked up at 8am from your centrally located hotel or the train station in Agra in the morning to start your tour with the drive by private vehicle to the Mother Teresa charity in Agra, located in heart of city near the Taj Mahal. Spend about two hours visiting the Missionaries of Charity home, which cares for a group of orphaned or less fortunate children, as well as some adults. The mission is solely reliant on private donations to support its cause, which continues Mother Teresa's more than 40 years of work ministering to the poor, sick, orphaned, and dying while guiding the Missionaries of Charity’s expansion through India and other countries. When you leave the charity home, you have time for shopping in Agra, which is known for handicrafts made of marble and soft stone inlay work. The Mughals were great patrons of arts and crafts. Agra's other major handicraft products include leatherware, brassware, carpets, jewelry, and embroidery work. In the early afternoon, enjoy a provided lunch at a local restaurant.
