The Shrine of Our Lady of the Cape Espichel, located at the westernmost point of the coast of Sesimbra, is a unique civil and religious architectural complex, which combines the monumentality of the built to the immateriality of religious devotion. It is composed of the church, hostels, Hermitage of Memory, Opera House, ruin, Gardens of the Pilgrims Water House and aqueduct. The landscaping of this monument, on a plateau that ends in cliffs to the sea, makes it monumental.

A walk along the Marginal of Sesimbra, is the best way to have a first contact with this fishing village, with more than five centuries of history. Between the golden beaches, the west, and California, the source is the Fortress of Santiago, a recently restored seventeenth-century monument that allows you to observe, from an authentic "balcony" over the sea, the entire Bay, from California to to Porto de Abrigo.

Built in the 19th century, the house was restored in 1923 by the Swiss architect Ernesto Korrodi and was the residence of the Soares Franco family until 1974. With its particularly beautiful façade and gardens, it has always been associated with the image of José Maria da Fonseca. The visit to the Museum House begins with a brief explanation of the company's history, followed by a visit to the old wine cellars: Adega da Mata and the Teares Novos Winery, where wines such as Periquita are grown and the Teares Velhos winery, where the oldest Muscatels of Setúbal (Muscat or Moscateis), some of which are true relics with more than 100 years. At the end of the tour, the visitor can taste some of the wines produced by José Maria da Fonseca.
