I am a London-born street, architectural and fine-art photographer, the author of seven photography books published internationally, and an experienced photography educator. My books include international editions published by National Geographic Italia, Laurence King and Ammonite Press, and my photographs and articles have appeared in publications around the world.
My professional work has included projects with Toyota USA, Sky Atlantic, Condé Nast and the BBC, alongside photography industry work with brands including Canon, Hasselblad, BenQ and I am an ambassador for Hoya Global.
As a native Londoner, I know the city exceptionally well. I will introduce you to interesting photographic opportunities around Bankside, helping you look beyond the obvious sights and discover compelling details, architectural forms, light and compositions. The session is entirely private and can be adapted to your interests, experience and the kind of photography you want to pursue.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
We meet outside the main entrance to the Tate Modern and then have the choice of directions from which to take our photography journey.
What to expect
We will cover the fundamentals of exposure, including aperture, shutter speed and ISO, and explore how to use these settings creatively. You will also learn practical techniques for improving composition, recognising interesting light, finding compelling subjects and turning everyday scenes into stronger photographs.
With individual guidance, practical exercises and advice tailored to your interests and experience, you will build your confidence, develop your skills and leave with a clearer understanding of how to create the images you want.
