1Aquila Private Game Reserve
Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Cape Town to the reserve, located in the Karoo landscape less than two hours from the city. Upon arrival, guests are welcomed with a refreshing drink before heading out on a guided 2–3 hour open-vehicle safari led by an experienced ranger. During the game drive, travelers will explore the 10,000-hectare reserve while learning about the local ecosystem and conservation efforts. While traversing the rugged terrain, visitors have the opportunity to spot the famous Big Five — lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard — along with other wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, antelope, and a variety of bird species. The ranger will share fascinating insights about the animals, their behavior, and the unique Karoo environment.

The journey continues to the nearby Cape Winelands for a wine tasting experience at a renowned local estate.
