Please note: Booking must be made at least 3 months in advance for the Hobbiton movie set tour. The Hobbiton Movie Set is a significant location used for The Lord of the Rings film trilogy and The Hobbit film trilogy, serving as a stand-in for the town of Hobbiton in the Shire in both trilogies. The driving time from Auckland to Hobbiton is approximately 2 hours, and the tour transport departs from Auckland.

Te Puia’s Whakarewarewa Valley features bubbling mud pools and the 30m-tall Pohutu Geyser, which erupts multiple times daily.
