Welcome to Tanzania. The day starts with an early morning safety talk and briefing by your SafariHQ guide. You will then drive to through the rolling hills of the Ngorongoro Highlands and onward to the majestic plains of the Serengeti National Park for an afternoon game drive.The Serengeti is Tanzania’s oldest National Park and Africa most popular Park. Its also a World heritage site and proclaimed a 7th world wide wonder. The park is famed for the greatest migration on Earth, the Great Wildebeest Migration and is home to all members of the Big 5.
Enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti, home to the greatest concentration of large mammals on earth. Expect to spot a large variety of wildlife including cheetah, wildebeest, lion, giraffe, dik dik, impala, gazelle, buffalo and hippo. It is not uncommon to encounter an elusive leopard, playful lion cubs, friendly and inquisitive elephants and galloping herds of zebra. horizon at the end of the earth. We will return to Seronera Campsite to enjoy a cooked lunch prepared by SafariHQ chefs. After lunch we will enjoy a game drive en-route through the Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the Ngorongoro Crater Rim.
Enjoy a picturesque drive as we descend to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater for a day of game viewing. Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Forming a spectacular bowl of approximately 265 square kilometres, with sides up to 600 metres deep, it is home to approximately 30,000 animals at any one time. Ngorongoro Crater is home to the very last few black rhino left in East Africa. Chances of encountering leopard and cheetah are good, and the always majestic black maned lion. Many flamingos can also been seen on the soda waters of Lake Magadi. Expect to see Wildebeest, Zebra, Eland, Gazelle and Lions. Higher up on the rim of the crater is where you may be able to spot leopard, elephant, mountain reedbuck, buffalo, hyena, jackals and cheetah. Ascend the crater in the early afternoon as we make our way back to Arusha where the wildlife safari ends
