The Manaslu Circuit Trek is an extremely beautiful & restricted trek in Nepal. It takes you around the eighth-highest mountain in the world, Mount Manaslu (8163m). Spanning over 177 kilometers, this trek usually takes around 10 to 15 days to complete. The trail passes through diverse landscapes, including terraced fields, rhododendron forests, and high mountain passes. The highlight of the trek is crossing the Larkya La Pass(5106m) at an altitude of 5,106 meters, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding sparkling peaks.
Manaslu Trek is the opportunity to witness the diverse unique culture of the region. The trail takes you through several traditional villages inhabited by ethnic groups like the Gurungs, Tamangs, and Bhote. These villages offer a glimpse into the local way of life, with their unique architecture, monasteries, and warm hospitality. Another highlight of the trek is the chance to see the diverse flora and fauna of the Manaslu Conservation Area.

On arrival at Kathmandu international airport get transferred to hotels after being received by our guides and staff, at hotel check-in and join for group briefing regarding Manaslu Circuit with do’s and don’ts including group dinner in typical Nepalese Restaurants
Starting our fabulous adventure at Manaslu Circuit trekking taking a long and exciting overland journey to reach warmer areas of the Gorkha district at Arughat a moderate size town with sub-tropical temperature, where our drive continues on the dirt road for an hour to reach our first overnight stop at Machha – Khola a small farm village, slowly turning into a town due to motorable road facilities.
From Maccha-Khola fishing village, morning walk on Buri-Gandaki River upstream banks for some hours to reach Khorla-Beshi and then on winding path towards Tatopani a village with natural “Hot Spring,” as Tatopani means hot water/spring. Here time permitting where you can enjoy refreshing warm bathing and then continue to walk with the climb to Jagat village for an overnight stop, Jagat a lovely and large village with many shops and well-stocked stores, has nice and simple lodges for an overnight stay.
After a wonderful overnight stop at Jagat village, the walk continues heading higher past rural farm villages and on the downhill to cross a bridge to Nugget and then reaching at Philip, one of the large villages within this remote farm country with many scattered houses. From Philim walk leads around farm terraces of golden agriculture fields of wheat, and barley, as a climb leads above a rocky ridge within a forest of bamboo to reach at Deng village for an overnight stop.
Morning walk from Dyang leads to a much cooler region with an increase of altitude gain, as our route leads higher areas and then with short downhill to a riverside to reach a place called Bihi Bazaar a small village near a riverside. From Bihi where walk follows Buri Gandaki River, then crossing a river to enter small farm villages and cultivated farm fields of barley, wheat, and millets to reach at Numrung village, continue to walk past Banjham, Lhi and Sho, then as altitude gains with an hour up to Shrimp village to Lo Gaon a nice place with excellent views of Manaslu North Face.
After Namrung tree lines fade only for some short juniper bushes and willow trees, walk on a nice path facing views of peaks and finally, walk completes on reaching at Sama-Gaon for an overnight stop, one of the largest villages within remote North Mid-West Himalaya, located on route Manaslu base camp, Larke-la pass and to Tibet border.
After a satisfying breakfast to fuel our bodies, we embark on a trek that will captivate our senses for the next 6 to 7 hours. The trail unfolds before us, leading us toward the enchanting village of Samagaun. As we make our way, our eyes are treated to breathtaking views of the magnificent Mount Manaslu, a sight that leaves us in awe of its majestic presence. Along the journey, two significant points grant us panoramic vistas of this awe-inspiring peak. First, in the village of Lho, we pause to soak in the mesmerizing view of Mount Manaslu. Its snow-capped summit stands tall, commanding our attention and reminding us of the grandeur of the Himalayas. Continuing on, we reach Syala, another vantage point that offers us a stunning perspective of this mighty mountain. The breathtaking sight leaves an indelible mark on our memories, a testament to the unparalleled beauty of nature.
Rest Day in Sama Gaon, which is an ideal place for necessary acclimatization before the climb and to reach the high Manaslu base camp 4800 M, Sama Gaon explores this interesting village similar to Tibetan culture and traditional way of life.
After a nice stop at Sama Gaon, where our route leads to a climb to Samdu and onward, the walk to Samdu is not too far and can be done in a few hours, due to the high altitude within dry air makes the walk slower. Our route slowly leads to Samdo village which is the last village before the Larke-la base and passes, at Samdu overnight in this interesting village of strong Tibetan influence due to its closeness to the border of Tibet, where trade still exists.
Our journey starts in the morning with a downhill trek up to Budhi Gandaki River. Then we cross the river and again march upward through Larkya Bazaar and Valley of Salka Khola towards Dharmasala which is not a lodge but an easy place to stay for a night. It is 7km away and will take about 4 hours to reach there on normal days. We have a high chance of seeing blue sheep. This place is also known as Larke Phedi. Stay overnight at Dharmasala.
Starting much earlier morning to reach the top of Larke-la Pass above 5,160 m, walk first heads to gradual winding uphill and then with the steep climb to reach on the highest spot of the adventure on top Larke-La decorated with thousands of Buddhist colorful prayer flags and stones piles. From the top excellent views of Himlung, Cheo Himal, Kang Guru, and Annapurna II, after a great moment where long downhill leads you over snow and screen, to reach a valley at Larcia. Further walk on moraine leads to Tambuche at 3,900m from here walk to an overnight stop at Bhimtang, a beautiful place in a valley with a number of the good lodge to stay.
From here our last day walk of the adventure leads downhill into the forest passing small summer settlement and then climb on terraced fields to Karche La, and then down to Marysangdi River. After few hours walk reaching at Tilje village following Dudh (milky) river downstream, a passing number of villages, including Thonje. From Tilje an hour and last climb of the journey on crossing a bridge and then joining at the main trail of Annapurna circuit in Dharapani village. After Tilje we take a sharing jeep to Besisahar and it takes about 4 hours to reach in Besisahar.
Last day on high hills and mountains of Nepal Mid-West. After a marvelous experience and adventure around Manaslu where morning drive leads you back at Kathmandu. Driving along farm villages and terraced fields to reach a large town of Besisar and then on a good road towards Kathmandu, where our memorable adventure completes, afternoon free at leisure to relax after great walks around Manaslu trekking.
Last day in the land of Himalayan Wonders in Nepal. As per your international flight time depart from the hotel to an airport for your international flight back to your home countries or other respective destinations.
