The Open Water Course is an experience you can’t miss if you’re visiting Koh Tao!
This small tropical island is known as one of the best places in the world to start diving and earn your Open Water certification.
At DPM Diving, you’ll have the chance to learn in your own language with some of the best instructors on the island. We work with small groups to ensure a personalized, fun, and safe experience from start to finish.

What's Included
Meeting and pickup
2 minutes from the pier, on the way to Sairee Beach. In front of Koh Tao Primary School, behind the main temple
What to expect
Throughout the program, your Instructor will teach and guide you at all times, providing the confidence and safety you need to obtain your Open Water Diver certification. This license allows you to dive anywhere in the world up to 18 meters, with international and lifetime validity.
We work with small groups of a maximum of 4 students per Instructor, always accompanied by a Dive Master or assistant.
All DPM Diving instructors are trained through our own Professional Department (SSI Instructor Trainer Center), maintaining the highest safety and quality standards to guarantee a safe, fun, and unforgettable experience.
Itinerary
The Open Water Course includes theoretical classes and a total of 5 dives.
Day 1 :
Morning theory class, followed by your first water session in the afternoon.
Day 2:
After completing the classroom sessions, you will enjoy 2 open water dives.
Day 3:
You will complete the final 2 dives (usually in the morning) and finish around midday with a short exam.
