Embark on an unforgettable 2-day safari through Tsavo East and the iconic Salt Lick Safari Lodge. Begin with a morning game drive in Tsavo East, one of Kenya’s oldest and largest parks, known for its red-dust elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, and sweeping savannahs. The cool morning hours offer excellent wildlife sightings and photography opportunities. After the game drive, enjoy lunch before heading to Salt Lick Safari Lodge in the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. This unique lodge, built on stilts, overlooks busy waterholes where elephants, buffalo, antelopes, and sometimes big cats gather, especially at night under the lodge’s soft lighting. This short but immersive safari blends the rugged beauty of Tsavo East with the intimate, elevated wildlife views of Salt Lick, creating a memorable adventure for couples, families, and nature lovers.

    Tsavo National Park East

    Our driver guide will pick you up early at 06.00 am from your Hotel/Airport and drive through the Mombasa Nairobi highway to Tsavo East. On the way, you will have a short break of 25 minutes at a curving shop for a shot call, for a cup of tea or coffee and carving to buy. After that, you will have a short drive to Tsavo East National Park and arrive at 09:30 am at Bachuma gate. Immediately you will start your game drive and have a chance to spot Red Elephants, buffalos, lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, Bird species and many more. You will have a stop at Aruba Dam to see Animals quench their thirst. At 12:30 pm you will check in at Voi Safari Lodge/Lion Hill Lodge or similar for lunch after lunch proceed for 1 hour drive to Taita Hill sanctuary for a Second game drive till 6.00 pm. Dinner and overnight at SALTLICK LODGE Meal plan: Lunch and Dinner
