It takes a three-hour drive from Marrakech to get there and along the way you’ll be able to see the surrounding countryside, including imposing red cliffs and vast expanses of oleander flowers. There’s also a good chance you’ll catch a glimpse of some Barbary apes.
The Ouzoud waterfall is fantastic for birdwatchers thanks to the variety of bird species found in the area and is also popular with walkers who explore the nearby trails.The Ouzoud waterfall also offers plenty of places to have lunch with one of the most incredible views in Morocco. The very best views are found at the top of the waterfall, however, you’ll have to bring plenty of water as there are around 1,000 steps to get there.
Those that do decide to climb the steps will be treated to one of the most incredibly beautiful views in North Africa, so it’s well worth the effort.
