Meet inside the Canmore Travel Alberta Visitor Information Centre on Bow Valley Trail 2801, T1W 3A2 Canmore, CA. Afterward we will convoy 45 minutes to the trailhead, on a compact gravel/snow road, transportation is not included.

What to expect

Snowshoe gaining 300 +/- meters to Chester or Rummel Lake where you'll enjoy lunch at a frozen alpine lake before heading back the way you came. Meet in Canmore for an orientation and to sign waivers, afterward convoy about 45 minutes to the trail head before hitting the trail for the day. Transportation is not included.

Additional info

  • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
  • After registering, provide weight and boot size for fitting snowshoes
  • Please come prepared with winter clothing, well fitting winter boots, food, and water for the day, it can reach temperatures of well below zero in the Rockies in the winter
  • Hours of tour do not include driving time to and from the trail head
  • Minimum age is 15 years
