05:00 am – Depart from Ho Chi Minh City for a three-hour journey to the Mekong Delta. As you leave the urban landscape behind, the surroundings gradually shift to expansive rice fields, lush roadside orchards, and other characteristic scenes of southern Vietnam.

2Cai Rang
8:00 am – Arrive in Can Tho, the heart of the Mekong Delta, and begin the day with a visit to Cai Rang Floating Market. As you cruise along the Mekong River, take in the everyday life of locals along the riverbanks—spot traditional houses, lush orchards, busy boat-building yards, and lively markets where people earn their living. Enjoy breakfast right on the floating market, a unique and memorable experience. Savor a simple yet delicious local meal while gently rocking on the boat as waves pass by, adding a sense of excitement. At the same time, immerse yourself in the energetic morning atmosphere, filled with cheerful voices and the sounds of river life. Don’t miss two local specialties at Cai Rang: “shaken noodles” and “braised coffee.”

3Can Tho
Afterward, your guide will take you to several traditional workshops, where you can see how locals produce “Hu Tieu” (rice vermicelli). These noodles are soft, flat, slightly chewy, and pleasantly smooth. Next, continue by boat to another stop where you can enjoy fresh pineapple—often called the “queen of fruits.” The vendor will peel it right in front of you so you can savor it immediately on the boat.

5Con Son
After visiting the floating market, you will check out and travel to Son Islet on the Hau River, a peaceful area known for its lush orchards and friendly locals. On arrival, explore a floating fish farm and try the popular koi fish foot massage. Walk through the islet’s villages, visit local gardens, and enjoy picking and tasting fresh fruits. You can also experience the traditional monkey bridge. Activities include making local cakes, watching rice popping, and seeing snakehead fish performances. A highlight is the “flying menu,” where each household prepares a dish, offering a shared community dining experience.

6Ho Chi Minh City
