Itinerary

After a bus ride to the Itabaca Canal, you will set sail on a comfortable yacht. This tour begins with a one-hour sailing to North Seymour Island, located north of Santa Cruz. The island’s landscape is unique and features dry Palo Santo trees and cacti, home to nesting blue-footed boobies, forked-tailed gulls on cliffs and large colonies of frigates – some displaying their vibrant red bag during mating season – plus stunning yellow land iguanas and more sea lions. After an exploration hike of about 2 to 2.5 hours around the island along with your nature guide and a freshly prepared and delicious lunch on board, you will head to Las Bachas Beach (or, according to the yacht itinerary, on some days to Mosquera Beach).

    Playa las Bachas

After lunch and a short sailing (the order of the two sites can also be the other way around, depending on the itinerary the National Park gives for this day). This beautiful white sand beach is ideal for snorkeling. In its calm and crystal clear waters, you will see reef sharks, tropical fish and hopefully flamingos feeding in the nearby lagoon. Depending on the conditions and the group, they may also snorkel directly from the zodiac. This tour offers a unique combination of wildlife, stunning scenery and marine exploration – all on an unforgettable day in the Galapagos.
