This tour is a 101 Kabuki tour for all people who are interested in Kabuki. Kabuki is one of Japan's most fascinating traditional performing arts. Your guide, Kazui, is born and raised in Tokyo and has loved Kabuki since the age of 5. You will receive and "About Kabuki" talk and visual presentation whilst you enjoy Japanese tea and sweets.

The Kabuki talk starts with an explanation of the history of the theatre and your guide will take your photos in front of the theatre if you would like. And we will visit the shopping area on the basement floor of the Kabuki-za theatre. There are many souvenirs related Kabuki, such as postcards, stationaries, stickers etc.
The main talk will take place at the Japanese tea shop in the rooftop garden. You will see short videos of Kabuki and enjoy the Japanese tea and sweets during the talk.
We will visit the models of the old theatres and portraits of ancestors of Kabuki actors are displayed on the fourth floor.
