Step off the beaten path and uncover the hidden water trails of the Alhambra. This circular hike follows the ancient Acequia Real, the Moorish channel that brought life to the palace and its gardens. In some sections, the water still flows as it did centuries ago, making it easy to picture how the Moors applied their water-management knowledge and technology.
Over this three-hour hike, you will hear stories about the city’s past and take in some of its best views that most tourists miss. Starting in the center of Granada, you’ll leave the busy streets behind and discover quiet trails.
