Operating Hours: The site is open daily from 08:30 to 17:00, with final entry at 16:30.
Visiting Sessions: Daily access is divided into two sessions: Morning (08:30-12:30) and Afternoon (12:30-16:30).
Admission Policy:
Complimentary entry is granted to children under 120 cm tall or under 6 years old.
Seniors aged 60 and above also receive free admission upon presenting a valid passport.

Visitors to the Yungang Grottoes will encounter a mesmerizing blend of art, history, and spirituality carved into the sandstone cliffs. As they walk through the site, they’ll witness over 51,000 ancient Buddhist statues, ranging from tiny figurines to towering 17-meter-high Buddhas, their expressions and drapery frozen in time. Among so many caves, caves 1 - 20 are more interesting. Travelers can explore the five main cave groups, each with distinct styles.
