  Kochi Castle

  Kochi Castle is one of only 12 original castles in Japan that still retains its main keep (tenshu) from the Edo period. Built in the early 17th century, it served as the seat of the Yamauchi lords of the Tosa domain. Today, visitors can stroll freely around the castle grounds, gates, and stone walls, enjoying views of the historic structure from outside at no cost. For those who wish to enter the castle tower and Honmaru Palace, an admission fee is required, where you can explore the interiors and enjoy panoramic views of Kochi City from the top.   Hirome Market is a lively food hall located in the heart of Kochi City, offering more than 60 stalls and eateries under one roof.   Mt. Godaisan Observatory
