Day 1: Aurangabad to Ajanta Caves to Aurangabad. Welcome to Aurangabad. We will pick you up from your selected pickup point and proceed to Ajanta Caves. Ajanta is at a distance of 100 kilometers from Aurangabad. It will be a 2-hour drive. On the way, you can take a break for tea and coffee. You need 3 hours of time to visit Ajanta Caves. Ajanta caves From the 2nd century BC to the 5th century AD, in Ajanta, there are 30 caves, which once belonged to a Buddhist monastery, that stand here in the rock face. After the sightseeing is over, you can also stop for lunch, and the driver will show you a nice restaurant. Then, later, we will come back to Aurangabad.
Day 2: Aurangabad to Ellora Caves to Grishneshwar Temple to Daulatabad Fort to Bibi ka Maqbra to Aurangabad. Start your day early to visit the Ellora Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its rock-cut temples and monasteries. Time needed: Approximately 2-3 hours depending on exploration pace.
Proceed to Grishneshwar Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlinga shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva. Time needed: About 1 hour for darshan (worship) and exploring the temple. Lunch Break Take a break for lunch. There are local eateries or restaurants near these attractions where you can enjoy local cuisine.
Visit Daulatabad Fort, known for its formidable defense architecture and historical significance. Time needed: Around 1-2 hours to explore the fort and its surroundings.
End your tour with a visit to Bibi ka Maqbara, often referred to as the "Taj of the Deccan," built in memory of Aurangzeb's wife. Time needed: About 1 hour to appreciate the architecture and gardens. Drop-off After the tour, you can be dropped off at the Aurangabad Airport, railway station, or your hotel as per your preference.
