    Dorze Village

    Meet your guide and driver upon arrival at Arba Minch airport (early afternoon arrival) and drive to Dorze village, in the Gamo Highlands about 40 minutes outside of Arba Minch town. The Dorze people are a very welcoming community known for their weaving, pottery, highland rural lifestyle their traditional elephant shape bamboo house and food made from “Enset” the false banana plant. After visiting Dorze village drive back to Arba Minch for a sunset drink and meal overlooking the spectacular Nech Sar National Park and the two rift valley lakes.

    Konso village

    Konso

    After breakfast drive to Konso village. The Konso area is a UNESCO world heritage site known for their sustainable way of life and unique traditional cultures. You will have a guided tour of the village by local guide and residents (impressive terracing farming land, stone curved villages and visit the local market, market days Monday & thursday) lunch at Kanta lodge, before driving back to Arba Minch visit the Konso museum which built by UNESCO.

    Visiting Lake Chamo and Forty spring forest inside Nech Sar National Park.

    Chamo Lake

    After breakfast you will have a leisurely morning hike through the Nech Sar National Park "forty springs" luscious forest (Arba Minch means "forty spring"' in the local language). while in the thick forest you will have the chance to see wildlife such as, Warthog, Colobus Monkeys, Baboon, Dik-Dik, Vervet Monkey and different species of birds in the canopy. You also have the chance to have a dip in the groundwater spring- a pristine natural bath. After lunch you will do a boat trip on Lake Chamo, one of the Rift Valley lakes. the lake is vast and serene , with the opportunity to spot a lot of Nile crocodiles, hippos, pelicans and other birdlife. local fisherman are also prevalent in the lake where you can the local livelihoods. afterwards drive back to the hotel.
