The garden complex, square in shape, measures about 300 by 300 meters and is perfectly aligned with the Taj Mahal on the opposite bank.

The magnificent fortified ancient city served as the short-lived capital of the Mughal Empire. Important attractions of the city are the Buland Darwaza which is a 55m high gate, Jama Masjid is one of the first buildings to be constructed within the complex, and Tomb of Salim Chishti which is a sacred place. Other worth visiting places are Mariam-uz-Zamani's Palace, Panch Mahal, and Birbal's Palace. Head back to Delhi in air-conditioned comfort.
