After we arrive at the parking, our guide will take you to the top the hillock by climbing about 100 steps explaining the history of the swyambhunath, legend of the creation of Kathmandu valley, Manjushree, Buddhism and it's relevant topics. You will baffled when you arrive at the top seeing the oldest Buddhist temple called stupa that dates back 2500 years. Our guide will explain about prayer wheels and colourful flags and take you around the temple.
After you arrive at the parking, our guide will take you to the main square of Kathmandu durbar square (residential area or palace of former kings of Nepal) and will explain about the historical development of the royal palace, monarch of Nepal. He will also explain about the various architectural design in the square monuments. Our guide will explain about the living goddess who lives in one of the temples in the same square and take you inside the Kumari temple to get a chance to witness the appearance of the goddess. Our guide further will take you to the Hanuman dhoka side of the palace and museum. Then you will also explore the so-called freak street at Basantapur area.
Our guide will take you to the main courtyard called 'mulchowk' of the former kings palace and explain about the rituals that would be carried out by the then malla dynasty's rulers. Then, you will visit another beautiful courtyard called 'sundari chowk' where the guide will explain throughly the chronological development of the palace, it's architectural significance he will show you the beautiful royal bath in the middle of the courtyard. Then you will explore beautiful black yard water tank and the famous museum of patan. Later, our guide will take you to the famous and most importantly worshipped Buddhist temple of patan called golden temple.
After arriving at entrance gate of the temple, our guide takes you on a walk by the river side of the holiest river Bagmati and show and explain you the open-air Hindu cremation at the famous and most important crematorium in Nepal called 'Aarya Ghat'. You will encounter with Hindu holy men called 'Sadhus' and can interact and take pictures. Then you will see the main temple of pashupatinath from the opposite side of the river bank.
Our guide will take you to the stupa and explain about it. He will take you in one of the Buddhist monastery for the lama blessings a Buddhist blessings includes blessings of good health, wealth, protection of family members, pet blessings, and world peace. Lama offers sacred scarf or the colourful thread with the all of those blessings. You can also visit one of the Tibetan thanka painting school for the insightful discussion about the Buddhist philosophy painted on the thanka.
