A Canadian FIRST! Nestled at Port Charlottetown, the Lobster Trap Lounge invites seafood enthusiasts to savor the essence of Prince Edward Island with a wine & food tasting with guided commmentary followed by an 1800's PEI Mixed-Reality experience!

Indulge in our Canadian-first, croissant LOBSTER CONES (or chicken or shrimp) each baked to golden perfection and stuffed with PEI mashed potatoes or mac n' cheese.

Start off with a sample of freshly steamed PEI mussels (or Caesar salad) with a local, crisp white wine followed by a savoury lobster, shrimp or chicken cone and a local red wine & then local PEI ice cream paired with a delicious local dessert wine or rum cream pour over.

Open May- Oct on cruise ship days, this iconic bar (Est 1956 - the FIRST licensed bar in PEI after Prohibition) offers a laid-back atmosphere and stunning views of the harbor. Discover a local favorite that seamlessly blends tradition with modern flavors & an exciting mixed reality experience!

What to expect

Meet your host at the Lobster Trap Lounge—right outside the Port Charlottetown Terminal Building by the big red maple leaf at the Lobster Trap Lounge.

Your adventure opens with Course 1: steamed Island Blue mussels (or Caesar salad) and a crisp local white as on-screen guide Glenn “Anne of Green Gables” Christie shows you how to taste like a pro—salty sea air, bright citrus, island lore in every sip.

Dive into Virtual Reality Scene 1: the 1800s Market—barrels, merchants, harvest crates you can virtually handle—then enjoy Course 2: your choice of lobster, chicken, or shrimp pastry "cone" with a smooth red while the Two John Hamilton Greys spar over tannin and acidity. Then engage in a 3-D augmented reality vote on Confederation with both Johns—your choice tweaks their banter.

For the sweet finale, Course 3 brings island ice cream crowned with dessert wine—or a sweet rum drizzle—guided by a cheeky Pirate.

Finish big with VR Scene 2: the Cannon Game—load, light, and try to sink the pirate ship!
