This local operator offers a guided sunrise tour in a luxurious minivan and can arrange tailor-made trips. The tour includes stops at Angkor Wat for sunrise, the face towers of Bayon Temple, and the tree-root-covered Ta Prohm Temple.
Please let us know where you want to be picked up (hotels/houses) at least a day before the tour begins.
We recommend to start tour very early so that you can have enough time to buy the ticket and grab the best spot for the sunrise. Please be at the hotel lobby by 4:20 AM. If you include a tour guide service, he or she will need a seat as well. Return: Guests return back to the hotel at 12:30 PM.
For sunrise at Angkor Wat, you must arrive well before 5 a.m. to secure a viewing spot and capture the temple's iconic silhouette as the sky transitions from deep purple to golden hues. The most popular viewing spot is at the edge of the northern reflecting pool, where you can get the classic mirrored shot of the five towers.
It was the last state temple built at Angkor and the only one to be primarily Buddhist, though it later underwent changes reflecting Hinduism and Theravada Buddhism.
Ta Prohm is a 12th-century Buddhist temple in the Angkor region of Cambodia, famous for being overgrown by the jungle. Unlike many other temples in the park, it was deliberately left in its natural state, with massive tree roots twisting around ancient stone structures.
Banteay Kdei is also known as 'the citadel of monk's cells'. It is partially overgrown with towering, sinous trees. The silk cotton tree roots weaving their way through the stones of the ruined walls is a famously beautiful sight.
Ta Keo was never finished, and as such has a very different aspect to most of the Angkor temples. It's square, layered-pyramid shape makes it one of the more dramatic sites on the tour and climbing the terraces affords some beautiful views over the jungle.
Return to hotel after lunch or you can go to have lunch in the city at 13:00 pm.
