Traditional Croatian Bread Making Workshop in Zadar

1 hour 15 minutes (approximately)
Offered in: English

Discover one of Dalmatia's oldest culinary traditions through a hands-on experience. Instead of simply watching, you'll prepare your own traditional bread, shape the dough, and bake it under the peka using the same method local families have passed down for generations. As the bread bakes over hot embers, you'll hear stories about Dalmatian village life, traditional cooking techniques, and the importance of simple, local ingredients. You'll also enjoy a tasting of the famous Zadar Maraschino liqueur before gathering around the table to taste your freshly baked bread with local cheese and extra virgin olive oil. This authentic experience offers a relaxed atmosphere, personal guidance, and a genuine connection to Dalmatian culture that you won't find in a typical cooking class.
