Nanputuo Temple-Huli Mountain Fort-Gulangyu Island

Nanputuo Temple
Meet your guide and driver in your hotel lobby at your chosen departure time and board on the comfortable, air-conditioned car, enjoy a short car ride and arrive the Nanputuo Temple. The temple grounds includes multiple temples, gardens, lots of carvings, a beautiful representation of China's history. You can learn more about Buddhism and culture along the way up and get a sense of inner peace during visiting these well kept temples within.

Huli Mountain Fort
Follow your friendly guide and head to Huli Mountain Fort. It used to be a fort that overlook the waterway formed by Xiamen and mainland China. It was used during the Qing dynasty to prevent aggressors from landing into mainland and now is maintained as a heritage site for visitors to view the canons used and explore the layout of the fort. While most history in China is based in ancient times, this fortress tells its story of pre and post colonial times, opium wars and the small part it played in shaping this region of modern China. Take your time to read some of the plaques to get a better understanding. Then spend ample time enjoying your lunch.

Gulangyu Island
After taking a short break, your private driver will take you to Xiamen International Cruise Center to take a ferry to the most must-see scenic spot - Gulangyu Island. Upon arrival, take a peaceful walk and admire the majesty of various old buildings before visiting Shuzhuang Garden, a beautiful seaside garden ,and inside it ,there is a famous Piano Museum with an extensive collection of unique pianos that would impress even the non-musicians. Enjoyed the walk on the bridge along the coast, with great view of the sea and surrounding landscape. Then take the ferry back to Xiamen Island, and your private driver will drive you to have dinner at a local restaurant. After that, transfer back to your hotel.

Day 2
Jimei School Village-Xiamen Ancient Courtyard

Our trip starts with a comfortable transfer. Your local friendly and professional driver will pick you up at your chosen departure time and head to the picturesque Jimei School Village. Jimei School Village is located in the Jimei Tourism Area, north of Xiamen Special Economic Zone. Showcasing the typical style of ethnic Fujianese people's ancestral hometowns, the buildings all combine Chinese and western architectural style. Among these are the very beautiful Longzhou Pond and the nearby Jimei Middle School. The academic atmosphere on the campus is sure to remind you of the schooldays past. Also worth seeing is Kah Kee Park—the place where Mr. Tan Kah Kee is buried. In addition to his gravesite, there are also 15 bas relief carvings engraved with the story of his life.

After 30-minute car ride, you will arrive at Xiamen Ancient Courtyard. Your driver can help you to exchange the physical entry ticket and the show ticket with the code and your passport at the scenic spot ticket office. After that , you can start your own trip. Here, you can marvel at the three-faced Mazu statue which is up to 32.3 meters, watch the famous puppet show which is listed in the intangible cultural heritage of China and theTribal Welcome Dance, also you will enjoy an incredible six-part stage play called the Minnan Magic Cultural Show. It shows the local folk culture of the Fujian province in south China. You will be mesmerized by the passionate performances of classic Minnan songs and dances in this show.Then your private driver will take you back to your hotel.
