    Pisa

    Your private driver–tour leader will meet you directly under your cruise ship at Livorno Port for a smooth and stress-free pick-up. During the drive, your tour leader will provide basic information and useful tips to help you understand the itinerary and the main highlights of the day. The first stop will be in Pisa, where you will have ample time to admire and photograph the iconic Leaning Tower and the extraordinary monuments of Piazza dei Miracoli, including the Cathedral and the Baptistery. The Leaning Tower began to tilt during its construction in the 12th century due to soft ground that could not support its weight. The tilt increased over time until extensive restoration work between 1993 and 2001 stabilized the tower, reducing the lean to a safe 3.97 degrees. Don’t forget to capture a unique photo with this famous monument—an unforgettable moment on your Tuscan adventure.

    After visiting Pisa, we’ll head to a traditional Tuscan farm for lunch at Azienda Agricola Carmignani, a family-run business with a rich winemaking history dating back to 1386. The farm is located in a prime area with optimal sun exposure for the vineyards, which allows the production of one of the finest white wines in this D.O.C. region, highly appreciated by Bacchus himself. You’ll be intrigued by the winemaking process, and the house sommelier, Elena, will greet you with a welcome toast.     In the early afternoon, we’ll make our final stop in Lucca. Our driver–tour leader will provide basic directions and tips to help you navigate the city and see the main attractions. A visit to Lucca means stepping into the birthplace of composer Giacomo Puccini and exploring layers of history and art, from the Roman era to the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, and the 19th century. Don’t miss Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, an oval-shaped square built on the site of a Roman amphitheater, or the Duomo di San Martino, a beautiful cathedral with intricate artwork. For panoramic views, climb Torre Guinigi, famous for its rooftop garden. The city’s charming walls, lined with trees and pedestrian areas, are perfect for a relaxing walk or bike ride, offering views of the town and surrounding countryside. Lucca is magical in every season, with its picturesque streets and historic buildings. After your visit, we’ll return to Livorno Port, concluding your private Tuscan tour.
