Spend a day through the Chianti sweet hills. A wonderful Experience between art, wine and local food to discover vineyards, towers and typical farms.
• Meet your driver escort at your Cruise Ship in Livorno and visit the tuscan countryside.
• First stop to Volterra, for sure one the most beautiful viewpoint of the region. Free visit of the town (historic centre, Etruscan acropolis and the Roman theatre).
• After Volterra we'll move to a real Tuscan farm, to understand the secrets of wine production and enjoy a lunch with home made pasta and 5 Chianti wine tastings included: (Chianti, Chianti Riserva, Sangiovese, Vernaccia)
• After lunch we will visit the magnificent Towers of San Gimignano and the pictoreque historical centre, tasting the best "gelato of the world" (Gelateria Dondoli).
San Gimignano is also known for its typical artisan shops and for the incredible panorama that surrounds it.
• The return in Livorno port is scheduled at around 17.00 pm.

    We will pick you up at Livorno Terminal Cruise, and will take you on a drive through the sweet hills of Tuscany. First will be stop in Volterra. (Self guided visit of the the town - 1,5 hrs) Volterra is a beautiful walled city in Tuscany, built on the top of a hill. The town is built over one of the Twelve Cities of the ancient Etruscan civilisation and has some of the original gates from that era still standing along with a dedicated museum packed with Etruscan and Roman relics. the main things to visit in this beautiful little town are: • the Roman Amphitheater • the Medici Fortress • the Town hall • the Square with the Cathedral and the beautiful octagonal Baptistery

    After lunch, we will move to San Gimignano for a self-guided visit of the town and its magnificent Towers.(1 hrs) San Gimignano is a small walled medieval hill town not far from Siena. Known as the “Town of Fine Towers”, during the Middle Ages there were more than 70 towers in the city. Now it is a real open-air museum, where it seems to walk in the medieval period. The town also is known for saffron, the Golden Ham, and its white wine, Vernaccia di San Gimignano, produced from the ancient variety of Vernaccia grape which is grown on the sandstone hillsides of the area. In the main square don't forget to taste the best 'ice cream in the world' (Gelateria Dondoli), and in the streets of the village you can admire the extraordinary work of expert craftsmen. The return to Livorno Port is scheduled around 5.00 pm.
