Embark on a day “one step from the sky” exploring the breathtaking Carrara Marble Quarries and savoring exquisite wines at the Luni farm winery. Our local expert driver will pick you up directly at your address, and we’ll journey to the heart of the Apuan Alps.
• We will visit the Fantiscritti quarry, also known as the “Michelangelo Quarry,” where a Jeep will take us both inside the active marble quarry and above the quarry area, offering spectacular views over the marble mountains. A knowledgeable local guide will unveil the secrets of Carrara’s world-famous marble, show you the traditional and modern techniques of marble cutting, and lead you through the fascinating museum hall carved directly into the mountain.
• Next, we’ll visit the picturesque village of Colonnata.” Stroll through its charming streets and enjoy the stunning panoramas of the Apuan Alps.
• In the afternoon, we’ll head to the Luni farmhouse for an exceptional wine-tasting experience.
