This is a practical cooking class focused on making five different sauces, designed to be made in a market environment. The activity begins with a guided tour of the market, where participants select fresh and seasonal ingredients, learning to recognize their quality, origin and culinary use.

Later, in the workspace, a chef or facilitator guides the participants step by step in preparing the sauces, sharing basic techniques, flavor combinations and context on the Mexican culinary traditions associated with each recipe.

We will meet at Etnofood, the Cooking School and where we learn to teach cooking classes and can occupy the kitchens, the space is inside the place called Etnofood, at Xicotencatl 609, Col. Centro, Oaxaca de Juárez, Oaxaca.

What to expect

During this experience you will experience an authentic immersion in local cuisine:

They will start with a guided tour of the market, where they will know the ingredients, aromas and colors that are part of Mexican cuisine. Accompanied by the chef, they will select fresh and seasonal ingredients, learning to recognize their quality and traditional use.

They will then take part in a practical cooking class, where they will learn to prepare 5 different Mexican sauces, step by step and with traditional techniques. The chef will explain the processes, flavor combinations and key tips to replicate them at home.

Finally, you will enjoy a tasting of the sauces that you prepared yourself, sharing the experience in a close, cultural and flavorful atmosphere.
