    After some free time in Galway this morning, we travel south to the village of Doolin, where we board the ferry across the sparkling waters of Galway Bay towards Inis Oírr, the smallest of the Aran Islands and one of Ireland’s most charming hidden gems. Quiet boreens lined with dry-stone walls lead to ancient ruins, shipwreck stories, windswept shorelines and one of the most beautiful white-sand beaches in the west. Explore the island by bicycle, maybe enjoy lunch at a local café and soak up the warm hospitality of the islanders, you may even pick up a few words of Gaeilge along the way.
