    Igreja de Sao Roque

    This is considered one of the richest churches in Europe. It was built in Italy in 1742 and arrived in Lisbon in 1747, after being transported in three boats. It is a masterpiece of Italian art unique in the world. The fourth chapel to the left of the altar mixes ivory, agate, lapis lazuli and gold. The facade is simple and austere, contrasting with the interior, enriched by gilded carving, paintings and tiles, polychrome marble, painting and sculpture.

    Basilica da Estrela

    Visit Basilica da Estrela, located in one of the noblest districts of our city. Also known as Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, it is one of the most important monuments of the 19th century. XVIII, in Lisbon. The Baroque style is predominant throughout the building, although the central body of the façade is in neoclassical style. The baroque statuary and the harmonious interior stand out, where the use of marble stands out. Still inside, we can see the admirable nativity scene by Machado de Castro (18th century), with figures in cork and terracotta.
